Can Cialis® (tadalafil) be used for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension?
Cialis® is not indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Tadalafil 40 mg under the name Adcirca® is approved for the treatment of PAH.
Treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Cialis® (2.5, 5, 10, and 20 mg) is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH; 5 mg), and the combined treatment of ED and signs and symptoms of BPH (5 mg). It is NOT indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).1
Tadalafil 40 mg under the name Adcirca® is approved for the treatment of PAH.2
