Can Zepbound® (tirzepatide) be used with weight loss drugs or GLP-1 receptor agonists?
Tirzepatide has not been studied in combination with medicines for weight loss or with similar mechanisms of action.

Can tirzepatide be used with weight loss medications?
Use of approved weight loss drugs with tirzepatide has not been studied. There are ongoing studies to evaluate combination of tirzepatide with investigational medicines. For a full list of studies please refer to www.clinicaltrials.gov.
In tirzepatide clinical trials, participants were excluded if they had used prescription or over-the-counter drugs that promote weight loss within 3 months prior to the beginning of the study.1-4
Can tirzepatide be used with a GLP-1 receptor agonist for any indication?
There is no information on using tirzepatide with a GLP-1 receptor agonist because this combination has not been assessed in clinical studies.
Coadministration of tirzepatide with other tirzepatide-containing products or with any glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist is not recommended.5
