Did participants with obesity experience urinary tract infections during the retatrutide TRIUMPH clinical trials?
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) were reported in retatrutide and placebo-treated participants in TRIUMPH-1 (8% to 9% vs 5% placebo), TRIUMPH-2 (3% to 8% vs 7% placebo), and TRIUMPH-3 (6% and 7% vs 5% placebo).
What was the incidence of UTIs across the TRIUMPH trials?
The incidence of UTIs reported in the TRIUMPH-1, TRIUMPH-2, and TRIUMPH-3 retatrutide phase 3 clinical studies are shown in Table 1.

From TRIUMPH-1 analyses, UTI cases were
- primarily reported in female participants (92%)
- were generally mild to moderate in severity, and
- did not lead to treatment discontinuation.1
