Where in the Gastrointestinal Tract Is Orforglipron Absorbed?

Orforglipron is for daily oral use. Take orforglipron orally once daily, with or without food.1

There are no clinical data available to determine the specific site of absorption of orforglipron within the gastrointestinal tract, as this has not been studied by Eli Lilly and Company.

Most orally administered drugs are absorbed in the small intestine, particularly the proximal regions (duodenum and jejunum), due to favorable permeability, surface area, and physiological conditions.2 Eli Lilly and Company has not conducted studies to specifically evaluate the site of absorption of orally administered orforglipron.
