When using a cooler bag, the device should not be in direct contact with ice, frozen gel packs or freezing temperatures (0°C or below). In addition, protect the medicine from light and freezing temperatures.2

When travelling on a plane:
- Ixekizumab should be kept in carry-on luggage. Do not pack in checked luggage. Luggage hold areas may be too cold or too hot.

- The screening equipment used at airports (X-rays) is not known to affect Ixekizumab.2
Customs
At customs, patients should be prepared to explain why they are carrying their medicines.2
Patients travelling internationally need to check with the authorities in the country of destination about any rules and restrictions they may have for people travelling with medicines, especially if the destination is outside European Union.2
