How should Trulicity® (dulaglutide) be stored?

Store dulaglutide at 2 to 8°C in the original package to protect it from light.

Storage instructions

  • Store in a refrigerator (2 ºC – 8 ºC).
  • Do not freeze.
  • Store in original package in order to protect it from light. 1

For patients only: When refrigeration is not possible, the pen can be kept at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to a total of 14 days.2

This allowable 14-day room temperature exposure may be one single 14-day exposure or it can be broken up into multiple exposures. There is no limit to the number of room temperature exposures as long as the total time does not exceed 14 days (336 hours).3

Storage conditions during shipping and storing by wholesalers, HCPs and pharmacies 

During shipping and storing by wholesalers, health care professionals (HCPs) and pharmacies, dulaglutide must be kept between 2 and 8°C.3

Wholesalers, HCPs and pharmacies (including mail order companies) cannot use any part of the 14-day allowable room temperature exposure.3

Accidental Storage outside recommended conditions

If dulaglutide was accidentally exposed to temperatures outside the recommended temperature range, please 3

  • return dulaglutide to the recommended temperature conditions and
  • contact us for an assessment to determine if the product is still acceptable to use.

You will be asked to provide the maximum and/or minimum temperature conditions and the total time of exposure outside the approved temperature range.3

If the pen has been frozen, DO NOT USE.2
